If your child has a health care plan or will need to bring a prescription medication, their classroom teacher and school nurse will make arrangements.

Teachers will share student work via the SeeSaw app (families will be signed up automatically) and/or on VITA’s website. Contingent on COVID-19 status and CDC guidelines, we hope to invite families to attend an onsite event at the end of each field trip.

Lessons will incorporate language arts, social studies, math, technology skills, social and emotional learning, visual arts, music and communication skills.

Please notify the VITA office in advance to ensure the student is not on a walking field trip when you need to pick them up.

Yes, sack lunches will be available for students at VITA. Students also have the option to bring their own lunch.

Second- and third-grade students will attend eight to 10 days (depending on holidays or student non-attendance days). Fourth and fifth graders will spend one week at their school preparing for the field trip and one week onsite at VITA.

Each day students will be bused to and from VITA from their school. Buses will leave their school before 8:45 a.m. and return by 1:30 p.m.
